Dolomites Women's Tour
June 28 - July 4, 2026
3 SPOTS REMAINING!

Intrepid and adventurous women are invited to join me on a summer escape to the Dolomites!

This past summer, I visited the Dolomites for the first time. and while hiking with my family, I couldn’t stop thinking what a special WOMEN's trip it would be. The feelings of sheer awe and amazement inspired by the majestic peaks and sweeping pastures have remained with me, and in collaboration with a team of local experts, I have crafted a unique travel experience for a small group of intrepid women. Together, we’ll explore the heart of the Dolomites, where each day will blend adventure, alpine elegance, and authentic mountain cuisine.

IS THIS TRIP RIGHT FOR YOU?...As this is a hiking-focused itinerary, this trip is suitable for women who are active, physically fit and enjoy hiking outdoors. This trip is neither for “expert” hikers nor for individuals who are not confident in their fitness level or who are suffering or healing from an injury or ailment.

Here are some details so you can determine if this is a trip for you:

  • The itinerary contemplates five consecutive days of guided hikes with a moderate level of difficulty.

  • Guests should expect to be out every day from approximately 9 am to 4 pm (with breaks for lunch and recharges at mountain “rifiugi” along the way).

  • Each of the contemplated hikes are 7-10 kilometers (4.5-6.25 miles)

  • You must be able to walk at a comfortable pace, over uneven surfaces/rocks and to navigate inclines.

  • In order to afford the group a degree of flexibility, we will have two guides on each of the hikes who, to an extent, will manage potential mixed levels of hiking speed and pacing.

  • After the first day of hiking at Alpe di Suisi (a gentle hike), the two guides will better understand the group's overall and individual ability and be able to further customize distances, pacing and difficulty levels for the remainder of the contemplated hikes.

  • Hiking shoes are a MUST and hiking poles are encouraged if you think you'll need them.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to the Dolomites!

Your journey begins with a private transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Ortisei, the main village of Val Gardena /Gröden, set in a beautiful valley between the slopes of the Rasciesa High Plateau and the steep, wooded slopes of the famous Alpe di Siusi, the largest plateau in Europe. Home to three cultures - Italian, Austrian, and the native Ladin, most signage in Val Gardena is written in three languages - Italian, German, and Ladin!

Upon arrival, check in the Alpenheim Hotel in Ortisei, where warmth and tranquility set the tone for the days ahead. Spend the rest of the afternoon unwinding at your leisure — perhaps enjoying a walk  through Ortisei’s lively pedestrian zone or simply relaxing on the  hotel’s terrace with views of the mountains. In the evening, we'll get to know one other over a traditional fondue dinner.

Day 2

ALPE DI SIUSI_.jpg

Discovering Alpe di Suisi

After breakfast, our guide will accompany us on a full-day hike through Alpe di Siusi  (Seiser Alm) — Europe’s largest alpine plateau. This sweeping landscape of meadows, wildflowers, and wooden chalets stretches endlessly and the soft rolling trails make this an ideal introduction to hiking in the Dolomites.

Along the way, we'll stop in a traditional mountain hut for lunch — think fresh alpine cheeses, cured speck and homemade strudel! We'll return to Ortisei in the late afternoon to relax and enjoy dinner at our hotel.

Day 3

The Heights of  Seceda

Today’s adventure takes us to Alpe di Seceda, one of the most striking and  photographed areas in the Dolomites. We'll take the cable car up to the Seceda ridgeline,  where panoramic views stretch from the Odle peaks to the distant Marmolada glacier. Our hike follows scenic alpine trails, passing carpets of wildflowers and crystal-clear streams.

We'll pause for lunch at a rifugio perched on the mountain slopes, where we can enjoy hearty  local dishes while gazing at one of the most iconic landscapes in the Alps. We'll return to Ortisei in the afternoon for time to rest, explore the village, or indulge in a spa treatment before dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll bid farewell to Ortisei and continue by private coach to Passo Pordoi, one of the most scenic mountains passes in the Dolomites. The winding drive reveals breathtaking panoramas  at every turn. From here, a gentle hike will lead us toward Sass Pordoi, known as the “Terrace of the Dolomites."

By mid-afternoon, we'll reach our destination for the evening - Rifugio Fredarola, a mountain refuge set high above the valleys, at 2370 m a.s.l., offering spectacular views of the Marmolada and the surrounding peaks - true alpine magic. We'll settle in for an unforgettable night at altitude, and before dinner, enjoy a private sunset wine tasting led by our hosts, and sample fine regional wines paired with local specialties.

Day 5

La Via del Pan & Cortina d’Ampezzo

After breakfast overlooking the peaks, we'll begin our morning hike along the Via del Pan, a  historic trail that connects Passo Pordoi to Lago Fedaia. Its name — “Bread Path” — comes from ancient traders who once carried goods along this route. Today, it is one of  the most scenic walks in the Dolomites, with views of Marmolada’s glacier shimmering in the distance.

We'll descend towards Arabba, where our driver will be waiting to transfer us to Cortina  d’Ampezzo (approx. 1 hour), Italy’s most iconic mountain resort. We'll check into the elegant 5-star Hotel Savoia, nestled in the heart of town. In the evening, we'll enjoy a gourmet dinner at one of Cortina’s most celebrated restaurants.
